Cycle 2 – Module 1 – Lecture 2 – Physical exam (part 1)

In this fascinating session, more than 200 pictures of physical signs of hormone deficiency (and accessorily hormone excess) in the thyroid, cortisol, DHEA, aldosterone, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and melatonin, growth hormone, IGF-1, vasopressin, oxytocin, insulin, and MSH are shown. This permits physicians to acquire in-depth knowledge on how to recognize the hormone deficiency or excess behind these signs. The information given here is very enlightening and indispensable and helps to diagnose or heavily suspect the diagnosis of hormone dysfunction the patient suffers from. Separate sections are provided on the physical hormone signs of the whole body, scalp hair, face (with its different parts, such as forehead, eyebrows, eyelids, eyes, nose, lips, tongue, teeth, cheeks, chin, wrinkles, ear), and neck (including possible thyroid hyperplasia and goiters).

How hormone deficiencies (and excesses) influence the blood pressure, heart rate, and pulmonary parameters is also discussed in this session.
