Dr. Thierry Hertoghe

drthDr. Thierry Hertoghe (Belgium, 1957) practices lifespan/reversing aging medicine and hormone therapy. He represents the fourth consecutive generation of physicians specialized in the field of hormone therapy.

Dr. Thierry Hertoghe’s clinic in Brussels (Belgium) consists of a team of experienced doctors. He is an internationally known authority in medical hormone and nutritional therapies oriented to correct hormone deficiencies, reduce aging, or even, in some aspects, reverse aging and possibly extend lifespan.

A pioneer in various medical matters, Dr. Thierry Hertoghe is one of the scientists supporting the idea that aging is mainly due to the progressive appearance of hormone deficiencies aggravated by nutritional deficiencies and a poor lifestyle. By correcting hormone deficiencies and other important factors, as well as by fine-tuning and personalizing treatments for each patient, he has achieved great success in medical therapies — often beyond patients’ expectations. Ensuring patient safety throughout the treatment processes is a major concern for him, implying a strict and regular medical follow-up.

Dr. Thierry Hertoghe is the president of two important medical societies:

  • The World Society of Anti-Aging Medicine (WOSAAM), is the leading international anti-aging / lifespan scientific society for physicians (more than 7,000 members).
  • The International Hormone Society (IHS), is the third international hormone society gathering over 3000 physicians around the world.

Dr. Thierry Hertoghe has gained extensive expertise in medical institutions, both as an ancient member of a big medical council of Belgium and as an active participant in various commissions in the Belgium health care system, thereby representing Belgium’s major medical union.

He regularly functions as an expert in cases of medical controversy in which physicians face prosecution for improper practice charges related to the use of hormone replacement therapy, nutritional therapies, or other preventive and anti-aging medical therapies and diagnostics.

Supported by a large scientific database and thanks to his personal experience in the field of such medical therapies, both in the medical practice and as a teacher, Dr. T. Hertoghe has often been able to redress situations in which evidence-based medicine had been replaced by scientific prejudice
