Module 5 – Lecture 3 – Hormone supplementations for chronic fatigue syndromes, part 2 (1h46)

In this lecture, you will delve into the additional hormone deficiencies to consider as potential causes of fatigue in patients, and learn how to address them effectively.

  • You will gain the skills to diagnose hormone deficiencies such as growth hormone, IGF-1, thymosin-alpha-1, melatonin, vasopressin, and in women: estrogen, progesterone, testosterone deficiencies, which can contribute to fatigue. This diagnosis will be based on a thorough assessment of medical history, physical signs, symptoms of deficiency, and laboratory tests.
  • Through patient interviews, you will develop the ability to identify which specific hormone deficiency is responsible for different types of fatigue (exhaustion, lack of recovery, flu-like, sleep-deficient, whole-day fatigue; menstrual and premenstrual fatigue).
  • Additionally, you will learn how to correct these hormone deficiencies by prescribing hormone supplements at appropriate doses for hormone-deficient patients.
  • You will also gain insight into scientific studies supporting this information, including double-blind placebo-controlled trials.
